Alumni/Student Networking and Keynote:
Ink Block Development: Form, Function, Mixed Uses, Mixed Income & Linkage
On behalf of the Harvard Urban Planning Organization (HUPO), Harvard GSD, and the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization (HREAO), we’d like to invite you to a night of Student/Alumni networking and to hear Ted Tye, Managing Partner at National Development, speak on “Ink Block Development: Form, Function, Mixed Uses, Mixed Income, & Linkage.”
Ted will discuss the rapid development of the New York Streets area of the South End and the roots of that development in the neighborhood’s history. He will discuss National Development’s game changing seven-building Ink Block project (http://www.natdev.com/portfolio/#ink-block ) as well as several new initiatives by the company just getting underway. Ted’s bio is shown below and on his company website (http://www.natdev.com/people/theodore-tye /).
Registration begins at 5:30 PM at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (Gund Hall, 48 Quincy St, Cambridge, MA 02138), with Ted’s keynote 20-minute presentation starting at 6 PM at 112 Stubbins. We’ll continue with questions and discussion until 6:30-6:40, followed by Student/Alumni Faculty networking organized into tables with designated topics, including broad planning, real estate investment, and urban issues to encourage connections and exchanges between like-minded participants.
Refreshments and appetizers will be served and an Alumni volunteer contribution at the door of $5 for our costs is appreciated.
