Please join the Harvard Real Estate Alumni organization for a webinar with industry experts and Harvard alumni Evan Linkner and Jeff Bartel will discuss the current state of the debt and equity capital markets, including how capital is currently being allocated and priced as well as the significant milestones to return to functionality, as well as discuss short and long-terms effects on commercial and residential real estate investment, development and finance in the U.S. as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speakers and Bio:
Evan Linkner
Evan Linkner is a Principal at Ackman-Ziff, which he joined in 2011. Founded in 1926, Ackman-Ziff is a global leader in developing creative capital solutions for institutional investors and operating companies. Evan leads the structuring and placement of equity, debt, and mezzanine capital stacks including the creation of unique and novel capital products. Evan is additionally a leader of Ackman-Ziff’s Special Situations Group, which capitalizes non-traditional real estate and distressed assets. Evan holds two Masters degrees from Harvard University where he studied finance and real estate. Evan is the Chair Emeritus and board member of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board.
Jeff Bartel
Jeff Bartel is chairman and managing director of Hamptons Group, LLC, a privately-held private investment and advisory firm based in Coral Gables, Florida, which he formed in 2010. The firm is focused on private capital through private equity and debt; real estate investment, asset management, finance, and ancillary services; and specialized strategic advisory services. Hamptons Group has assets, investments, clients and projects in South Florida, throughout Florida and the U.S., and internationally. Jeff is a graduate of Harvard College (AB 1988) and attended Harvard Business School. Jeff also serves as the president of the Harvard Club of Miami.
Evan and Jeff both serve on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization (HREAO).
